For every good idea there are hundreds that fail... woofer.

 I do not want to pronounce the immanent failure of a site just as it is getting launched, but I am concerned about the prospects for Woofertime (Woofing rather than Tweeting, get it?).  The idea is that you must write 1400 words to post.  Hmm... looks mighty similar to Tweeter...

I guess the really perplexing issues begin with, who will use this?  Are they targeting long-winded English majors / professors (both of which categories include me)?  Even so, why would I want to put so much work into writing a blind posting?  I guess people really do not understand social media yet, and why users are willing to contribute.  Thankfully, this bodes well for the value of my research into why people do connect and how to convince them to try a new connection. Still, 1400 words!

These guys clearly have a sense of humor.  Humor is handy for exploring our limits.  If you do follow the link to Woofertime, you can then follow the next link to ShuffleTime (http://shuffletime.com/), a site making browsing the Internet into a game!
